We can now quickly integrate a Surname Project and results from Relative Genetics customers. The same reliable, duplicate-tested 43-marker results can be obtained through us while maintaining ownership over your Project.
In your Relative Genetics login pages, on the 'My Projects' > 'Project Results' tab there are two download options entitled:
Export to Excel (B&W)
Export to Excel (Color)
We can accept either of these excel files.
Please also supply the following:
Project Description,
Variant Surnames,
Project Website (i.e. your own web-pages)
So that you can keep track of samples that were originally within the RG database, we will add the Case Number to the name of the individual.
Therefore,
Alfred Doe with the case number Z148192 becomes
Alfred-Z148192 Doe
Within Oracle, there are four categories of account:
Individual, Project Admin, Project co-Admin and Member.
Only the last three apply to Projects although Individuals (i.e. people who have been tested outside of Projects) can be transferred to Projects with the relevant permission.
When migrating, we will need to know which account is the Project Admin, and which are co-Admin(s). co-Admins have access to all of the same data as Project Admins including editing capability of the names and addresses. It is possible to have more than one co-Admin in a Project. We recommend to have at least one co-Admin in most projects as they can be a great help to the project.
For a demonstration of how the Oracle Customer Management Pages will work for your Project, take a look at http://www.dnaheritage.com/oracle.asp and log-in as a 'Surname Project Administrator'. Once logged in, click on 'manage project'
Any correspondence from Members and co-Admins (which should be limited as we prefer questions to go through the Project Admin) will be replied to and the Project Admin cc'd on the email. We try and keep the Project Admin in the loop at all times. This includes newly interested parties, new sign-ups, invoices and result notification. These can all be tracked using your Management Pages.
We do have a mailing list which, as any migrated Members and co-Admins of your Project have not yet signed up for will, by default, not be on it. Project Admins are sent relevant emails by default.
