Project info  We seek connections between the various Finger lines referenced at www.fingerfamily.com

Of particular interest are the descendants of Johannes Vinger (Finger) who emigrated from the Palatinate (Rhein-Pfalz) to New York in 1710; Samuel Finger born before 1568 in Muenden, now Viermuenden, in Hessen in Germany, with many well-documented descendants in Bottendorf, Wangershausen, and the United States; and Peter Finger who emigrated from Germany to Pennsylvania in 1749, and died in North Carolina in 1792 after founding the line of Fingers in the Southern United States.

Peter Finger is suspected to have come from a Mennonite family originally from Switzerland.

All other Finger families are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
